Where can I create an account?

  • If you look in the upper-right corner, you will see a link to 'Login/Create an account'. Click that, and follow the instructions on the following page. However, there are no current benefits to creating an account, so do not feel like it is necessary.--Admin 14:56, 27 March 2008 (CDT)


The Myaamia online dictionary is meant to be simple and useful. All the entries are in listed in english. The rest of the entry is listed in myaamia.

For example, let's look at the listing for eating. You'll see at the top, 'eating' is in english. Below, you see the myaamia words expressing the basic idea of eating. Below that, you'll see the Related Terms heading, with words that express ideas similar to the primary word.

You'll see that the words listed are links to new pages. Click on 'miici-' to view the detailed entry for that word. The detailed entry has the word with person markings, command forms, and example sentences. Next to each of these, you'll see a media player that looks like this:



When you click the play button, a sound file will play of the word or sentence being said.

Using the search function is easy as well. When you begin typing a word in, the search box will suggest results below it as you type. If you see the word you would like to lookup, just click on it. If the word you are looking for doesn't show up below the search box, click the 'Go' button to perform a normal search.
